What Is Meant By ID and OD on Tubing Dimensions?

All Tubing Items Have Three Size Dimensions. ID Or The Inside Dimension, OD – The Outside Dimension, or The Wall Thickness. We Require At Least Two Of These Dimensions Plus The Length(s) In Order To Quote On Tubing.

If the materials are correct and in still in original condition, but you just don’t want them or it won’t work for your application, we will take it back. You will be responsible for freight to you, and freight back to us. Also, depending on the item, there will be a restocking charge (10% – 45%). Please contact us before you ship materials back to us for a RMA approval.

What do you mean by cut tolerance?

All Manufacturers Have Factory Tolerances. This Is The Allowable Variance In Thickness Or Sheet Size From The Listed Size. For Instance, A Thickness Of 1/2″ or .500″ May Have A Tolerance Of +/-10%. This Means That The Thickness May Vary From .450″ up to .550″ and Still Be Within Factory Tolerance. If Your Application Requires A Very Specific Thickness You Should Call For The Factory Tolerance On Your Requested Material.

What will be the approximate size of my piece?

The Listed Sizes Of Sheet Will Be Shipped Within 1/8″ Plus or Minus Standard Tolerance Of The Requested Size. We Need To Allow For A Saw Blade To Cut Through The Material, And We Find That Most Pieces We Ship Are On The Plus Side Of The Requested Size. Many manufacturers produce their sheets at exact 24″ X 48″, and thus to cut your parts we will run a saw blade through the sheet. This generates a .187″ thick ‘saw dust’ area, and that is lost material. We normally end up with 2 pieces 11.85″ wide out of a 24″ exact sheet. If the sheets arrive a bit larger, we will gladly provide 12.0″ plus if possible.

What is your policy on returns?

We certainly want you to be happy. If we make a mistake, or material is damaged in transit, please let us know. We will replace these goods at no cost to you. In some cases, we may ask that you do not return the damaged material. If the order is correct and the material is still in its original condition, but you don’t want them or it won’t work for your application, we will still take it back. You will be responsible for freight to you, and freight back to us. Please keep in mind that there will be a restocking charge (10% – 45%). Please contact us before you ship materials back to us for an RMA approval.
