Q: Is HDPE Lumber more expensive than regular lumber from the hardware store?
A: Yes, it is about twice as much. Some people think that is way too much money for this material. However there are benefits to this HDPE lumber. It comes with a 50 year limited warranty (something regular lumber companies can’t guarantee). Plus, it is virtually maintenance free because it will not rot, fade, or need any paint. Lastly, it can be reclaimed to make new HDPE Lumber.
