PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride), commonly known by the trade name Kynar® from Arkema®, is a high-performance plastic material celebrated for its exceptional chemical and abrasion resistance. This material is widely utilized in high-purity fluid handling systems and chemical processing due to its minimal moisture absorption and resistance to nearly all chemicals and solvents. PVDF materials, including Kynar® 740 and HD1000, are FM-4910 rated and can withstand continuous use temperatures up to 300 degrees F. Its high dielectric strength, mechanical robustness, and compliance with standards like FDA, USDA, and USP VI make it ideal for demanding applications requiring both purity and durability.

PVDF materials are FM-4910 rated materials, with excellent heat and flame resistance.
